KÖSTER Waterproofing Trial at Farringdon Station
POS carried out a trial using KOSTER injection products for a tunnel waterproofing system between Farringdon and Kings Cross Station.
The trial was carried out to see how effective KOSTER Waterproofing products would be for a supressing water ingress in a London Underground tunnel system. This trial was carried out over 2 nights injecting KOSTER products into a 1.5m2 area of the tunnel by our own KOSTER trained operatives.
To ensure that the trial went well, the team had to remove the layer of build-up salt and dirt on the brickwork manually making sure it was not disturbed. Once the brickwork was exposed, it was easier to pin point the main leakage points and the amount of water passing into the tunnel.
The work was carried out to strict time constraints completing the trial safely and effectively to our high standards.
A follow up visit the follow night showed that the area that was injected was completely dry. This trial was impressive, proving that not only was the products use successful but our team was able to achieve the task in the most challenging conditions.
The works team consisted of POS’ London Underground licensed Safety Critical personnel who provided protection for the POS Koster trained specialist waterproofing operatives throughout the trial.
